It seems many fans are wondering what is taking him so long to give up boxing? Many people say that he don’t need to prove and he is already great. But why Manny hasn’t hung up the gloves yet?
I believe Manny has already considering this idea, but he is still holding on.
As a believer of Jesus Christ, Manny knew that the Lord who brought him there in the boxing arena, will have the say to his career. No man could change his mind what the Lord has already planned.
His humble beginnings, God already trained him discipline. He knew life is hard and had to earn from every sweat, tears and blood.
But the Lord was with him. God favored Manny cause he obeys the call from the Father.
Manny was not a born again believer at first and had a story in way we find awful. Not pleasing lifestyle in the eyes of God. But through it all, God still blessed him.
Wait, will God still blessed to those who have no relationship with him? It can be found in the bible that in Mat 5:45, “In that way, you will be acting as a true children of your father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good. And he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. “
And just as what the scriptures says, he experienced it.
Of course, he didn’t start as great.
But how can a gold be called pure gold unless tested in the fire?
When trials comes in the life of a person, it sometimes give us lesson.
When we’re hurt the most, there we run to God, our Father.
There goes Manny. He started being serious in his walk with the Lord.
Dropping all excess baggage to follow Jesus. (Even if it means dropping business like casino)
When a person begun to feel the weight is light, there we see things going smooth. It’s the overwhelming joy that felt through the Holy Spirit, who continue to work with him. Its the “peace” that encompasses all understanding. It can only be found with Jesus.
To those who are asking why he still hasn’t retired yet? Here’s the clue…
“And I am certain that God, who begun a good work within you will continue his work until it is finished on the day when Christ Jesus return. -Philippians 1:6”
So it’s not yet done. God will continue to blesses and build him more and use him for people to know Jesus more.
To God be all the glory. Amen.
