Why Manny Pacquiao has embodied as Greatest of all time boxer?

There’s always something fascinating about Senator Manny. Aside as a being a public servant today, he is still active in the sports of boxing. Why is it he could still jugle the time and manage to sit casually while making time for everything?

1. Is it about Time Management?

He got tougher things to do in the senate (mind, body and heart) and still had family to make time for. He makes time for God and also time in sports. Not to mention all the business he had to looked out for and other sports like basketball and billiard. Is it found in the bible? Let’s take a look at this verse.

A Time for Everything

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

3 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

2     a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3     a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4     a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5     a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6     a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7     a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8     a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Manny knew that in order for him to flow through his wealth and blessings, he needed time management. Indeed it pays. He had master the skill in time management. He learned it when he was just a boy. The technic he used was like the ladder. He knew if he will move up and improved his situation, he needed to double time.

If he had learned the art of time management, it’s like he had already blueprint in his lifetime.

What can we learn from this?

Time management is the ability to use one’s time effectively or productively, especially at work according to oxford dictionary.

From the meaning itself, we can come with many ideas related to these. If Manny can become effective in many fields, so can we. Time is like gold. To be effective in using the time in work, it needs consistency. It not an overnight miracle. It needs practice and focus. Discpline takes place as time passed by in the training if there is no distraction.

The flow that Manny had was on focus that he had managed to be effective in using his time wisely.

What were the effects of time management in Senator Manny’s life?

In the year 1995, he had 10 fights at the age of 16 years old. This was also his age he turned Pro. Here is the link.

Manny is so inspirational to everyone that he is being looked up to almost every athlete. He shows to everyone that he can do it, so can we. Nothing is impossible.

Now lets find out if its always about time management…

2. Charity

He had many investments and lots of business ventures and charities. All around the globe always discussed about business and investments. There’s a lot guru’s out there. But only few discussed about charity. Some people think it in a negative way. But hey there’s hidden gem in charity. We will dig deeper to this topic.

Luke 6:38

“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you”.

Giving back or helping others is another way of showing how we as God’s stewards of God’s treasure. He judges our motives. Some people change when they become rich, while others prefers to help because they have compassionate and have responsibility to God.

Indeed if you give, it will come back to you in many folds until you overflow. That’s generosity. That’s the equation which the world hates, but has signficant meaning with God.

After all Gods wealth is enormous, but it is given to a heart that’s willing to help others. Not selfish. Not greedy and self-centered.

In everything we do, we have to reflect what Jesus Christ did for us. A sinless human, a God who humbled himself and became man, took all our sins with him and died on the cross and gave us eternal life. That’s nothing compared to wealth. That’s why wealth here on earth is not our top 1 priority. It’s our heart towards God. He is after our very hearts.

3. What does fear in the Lord mean?

We know Manny also has great fear in God. He turned away from many vices, womanizing, casinos and other sinful lifestyle. No he’s not perfect, he just want to pleased God. Pleasing God is the result of having fear in him. How come Sen. Manny has this insights and was able to pull off in life? Let alone his greatness and wealth. Let’s read in this verse:

Isaiah 11:1-3

There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse,
and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord.
He shall not judge by what his eyes see,
or decide disputes by what his ears hear,

Sen Manny in his walk with the Lord, has received wisdom from God. That’s why he is where he is right now. The Holy Spirit leads all believers that’s why they will received wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, this verse is actually for all of us. It was meant for all of us. But Manny knew this, and he applied this in his life.

Make this as your life verse also. In this life, you will encounter a lot of obstacles but God is there with you. We just need to motivate ourselves through reading of his word and applying in our daily lives.

Thoughts about his future

Sen Manny has done a lot, and he will do more in the future. Whether he will pursue running for president or still continue boxing, or anything else. The matter of the fact that he loved God more than anything is important. God is there to see him through.

This is the genuine man very rare in the sports, embodied greatness. Exceeded every athlete in the history. A living legend, an icon in sports and a history maker.

May his life be an inspiration to us all. It’s not about us, it about Jesus.
